Liberia, located on the West African coast, is a nation rich in resilience and natural beauty. Founded in 1847, it stands as Africa’s oldest republic and carries a unique history shaped by both indigenous heritage and returning freedmen from the United States. Today, Liberia is home to more than 5 million people representing diverse ethnic groups, languages, and traditions.

Liberia’s story is uniquely tied to faith from its earliest days, including its capital city, Monrovia, which was originally named Christopolis, a reflection of the spiritual vision and aspirations that shaped the nation’s founding. Christopolis carried a vision of being a launching center for Christianity across the continent of Africa.

Yet its story has also passed through profound pain. The civil wars of the late 20th and early 21st centuries left lasting scars on families, communities, and the nation’s infrastructure. Many lives were lost, many were displaced, and entire generations grew up amid instability and hardship.

But Liberia’s story did not end in brokenness. Today, the nation is rising with renewed strength, dignity, and determination. The same people who endured unimaginable difficulty now carry a fierce hope for restoration. Churches remain strong, communities are rebuilding, and leaders both young and old are stepping forward with vision for a healthier, more prosperous future.

Victory Center International Church

Pastors Odysseus and Laurina carry a distinct apostolic mandate that begins in the nation of Liberia and reaches far beyond its borders. In every gathering, the heartbeat of the Mount Sinai Experience is clearly declared: “Mount Sinai… Christ to All Nations.” Their unwavering obedience to God’s call and their leadership among pastors and community leaders have ignited a growing movement, one that is touching families, churches, and spheres of influence across Liberia.

Together, they shepherd Victory Center International Church and oversee a thriving K–8 school that is shaping the next generation. Their ministry extends into practical empowerment as they coach women in business development, champion economic opportunity, and provide ongoing support to local orphanages and vulnerable children. Their work is both spiritual and transformational, blending the Gospel with community development to bring real change.

Pastors Odysseus and Laurina are blessed with five children and are deeply passionate about family, discipleship, and advancing the Kingdom of God in every arena of life. Their lives reflect a commitment to seeing Liberia and the nations transformed by the power and presence of Jesus Christ.
